What sort of cats fare better in the territory? Stronger ones, smarter ones? What pelt colors are more beneficial/what gives a cat the advantage?
Ridgeclan cats make their homes in the mountainous terrain which means that they're tough sturdy cats. For the most part, this means that Ridgeclan cats are larger than most. Their pelts tend to change with the season, growing thicker and longer to help protect them from the cold and ice that's prevalent throughout the land. Their paws act as snowshoes and fur grows thick in between their toes to protect against frostbite. In the warmer moons, most cats will shed their leafbare coats, for a sleeker, thinner coat, which enables them to keep cool during boiling greenleaf days.
Ridgeclan cats come in all sorts of colors due to their loner and rogue backgrounds. While it doesn't really matter what sort of color coat a cat has as long as their due their duty, there are some coat colors that are more beneficial towards the mountainous landscape. Greys and browns do well in camouflaging against the rocky terrain, while most other due well in the undergrowth in the forests below.
What do your cats use for bedding/what’s comfortable to sleep in and easy to find in the territory?
One of the most prevalent things that grow close to their camp is moss. Which is what Ridgeclan cats use for their nests. It's easy to find, and easy to collect when needed. Though the cats have to be careful that they don't collect wet or even damp moss. If even a piece of damp or wet moss is collected and put with the rest, it could mold and ruin the entire batch. It is very important to keep an eye on which pieces of moss are collected to prevent this from happening. Apprentices are taught very early to watch out for this.
