Territory Summary
Climate
Ridgeclan's territory is harsh and rugged where boreal forests reign and mountains are always in the sight. For the most part seasons are divided into warm summers and long, cold, and dry winters.
Summers are warm and dry for the most part, with a thunderstorm thrown in once in awhile to break up the hot dry days that can, if the conditions are right, or in this case wrong, cause wild fires, which can ravage the landscape. Ridgeclan cats keep a careful watch from their high perches to make sure that nothing catches fire and if it does, they're able to act accordingly.
Winters on the other hand are cold and dry. Temperatures routinely drop below zero for days at a time and blizzards are common for Ridgeclan cats to traverse in. Due to the temperature drops, the river that cuts through their territory freezes over, which expands their hunting territory for the season.

The Camp
Atop one of the largest mountains in their territory, sits an small plateau. There the mouth of the cave leading to Ridgeclan's dens starts. Leading and winding deeper into the mountain, the tunnel connecting the cave's mouth and the main cavern twists up, leading cats even higher before opening up into a large brightly lit cavern. From there, A well worn track can be followed down to lower levels. Each level holds a den where the clan sleeps according to their rank. Starting at the top level sleep the warriors, where they can keep the rest of the clan safe from intruders. Below them on the next level down, sleep the Apprentices who are almost always up and about with the warriors. Across from the Apprentice den, the Elder's den is found. Fortunately, it was found early on that having their den near the upper levels of the cavern was more beneficial than having them farther below. It keeps them safer, not having to climb so far to reach the exterior of the mountain.
Beneath them, sits the Healer dens. Two adjacent den sit on this level. The first housing the Healer themselves and their supplies, keeping them separate from where sick and injured cats are treated. The other, houses the sick and injured cats under the care of the Healer and his apprentice. This is where they're treated and stay until they're healed.
The bottom level of their cavern is home to the clan's nursery, along with the Leader's den. Having the nursery at the bottom of the cave is more of a safety precaution than anything. There aren't many ledges for kits to take a fall from at the bottom and it makes it harder for them to reach the tunnels leading outside keeping them safe from harm.
